Air Fryer Buffalo Tofu Wings

Ingredients

  • 1 block super-firm tofu

  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup buffalo sauce

  • 2 tbsp vegan butter

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • freshly ground black pepper

  • a few splashes of unsweetened plant milk

  • bread crumbs or crushed crackers for breading

  • 1/2 cup plain buffalo sauce for dipping

  • optional: serve with homemade buttermilk ranch

Directions

  1. Drain excess water from tofu package. No need to press if using super-firm. Cut into 12 even strips. Set aside.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, buffalo sauce, vegan butter, paprika, black pepper, and a few splashes of plant milk.

  3. Coat each tofu strip in the buffalo mixture, then coat with bread crumbs. Repeat this process for all tofu strips.

  4. Cook tofu strips in air fryer at 400F for 5 minutes. Remove from air fryer, dip in plain buffalo sauce, and cook again in air fryer for 8-10 minutes or until crispy. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
