Ingredients

  • 1 cup dates, soaked in hot water

  • 1/2 cup oats

  • 1/2 cup sliced or chopped almonds

  • 1/4 cup peanut or almond butter

  • 2 scoops chocolate protein powder (roughly 2/3 cup)

  • 1/4-1/2 tsp sea salt

  • 2 tbsp hemp hearts

  • 2 tbsp walnuts

  • 1/4 cup chia seeds

  • 2 tbsp hot chocolate mix

  • 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp warm date water (start with less and add more)

Directions

  1. Soak dates in hot water. Keep water and set aside.

  2. Add the soaked dates and remaining ingredients to a food processor, excluding the water.

  3. When ingredients are fully combined (pieces of oats and nuts are actually encouraged), slowly pour in the water, a few tbsp at a time. You may not need the full amount. Blend until it starts to come together in a ball. It should not be very liquidy.

  4. Scoop batter with a spoon and shape into a ball. Repeat this until the batter is gone. Place in a reusable container or on a plate, cover, and store in fridge. Eat right away or wait until chilled. Enjoy!
