Ingredients
1 cup dates, soaked in hot water
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup sliced or chopped almonds
1/4 cup peanut or almond butter
2 scoops chocolate protein powder (roughly 2/3 cup)
1/4-1/2 tsp sea salt
2 tbsp hemp hearts
2 tbsp walnuts
1/4 cup chia seeds
2 tbsp hot chocolate mix
1/2 cup + 2 tbsp warm date water (start with less and add more)
Directions
Soak dates in hot water. Keep water and set aside.
Add the soaked dates and remaining ingredients to a food processor, excluding the water.
When ingredients are fully combined (pieces of oats and nuts are actually encouraged), slowly pour in the water, a few tbsp at a time. You may not need the full amount. Blend until it starts to come together in a ball. It should not be very liquidy.
Scoop batter with a spoon and shape into a ball. Repeat this until the batter is gone. Place in a reusable container or on a plate, cover, and store in fridge. Eat right away or wait until chilled. Enjoy!
