Healthy Tahini Shake
I'm usually against putting the word "healthy" in recipe titles, but this literally tastes like a milkshake and I assure you it's made from whole plant-based ingredients! No ice cream involved.
Ingredients
- 1 large frozen banana (freeze overnight)
- handful of ice
- 3/4 cup plant milk
- 1/4 cup freshly brewed coffee, cooled
- 3 medjool dates, pitted
- 2 tbsp tahini
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- a few dashes cinnamon
- a pinch of cloves
- a pinch of flaky sea salt
- optional: 1 tbsp hemp hearts
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a high powered blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
Notes:
If you don't have a high powered blender, use crushed ice and make sure to soak the dates for 10 minutes in hot water before adding to the blender.
