Healthy Tahini Shake

I'm usually against putting the word "healthy" in recipe titles, but this literally tastes like a milkshake and I assure you it's made from whole plant-based ingredients! No ice cream involved.

Ingredients

  • 1 large frozen banana (freeze overnight)
  • handful of ice
  • 3/4 cup plant milk
  • 1/4 cup freshly brewed coffee, cooled
  • 3 medjool dates, pitted
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • a few dashes cinnamon
  • a pinch of cloves
  • a pinch of flaky sea salt
  • optional: 1 tbsp hemp hearts

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a high powered blender and blend until smooth and creamy.

Notes:

If you don't have a high powered blender, use crushed ice and make sure to soak the dates for 10 minutes in hot water before adding to the blender.
