This recipe is creamy, garlicky, and delicious! This is not your classic cheesy spinach artichoke dip, but it is JUST as good! Serve it right out of the pot or broil it in the oven for a toasty browned top. Dig in with all of your favorite dippers and enjoy!

Is spinach artichoke dip good for you?

There’s a time and place for everything and most things in moderation are perfectly healthy to incorporate in your diet. Would I recommend eating this every day for a snack instead of whole foods? Probably not. But would I recommend eating this on game days and fun occasions or just when you randomly have a craving? Absolutely.

How long does spinach artichoke dip last in the fridge?

This dip should last up to a week in the refrigerator, if you can make it that long without devouring it!

What should I serve this spinach artichoke dip with?

Um, everything. You can serve this dip with crackers, slices of baguette, chips, pita bread, sliced bell pepper, carrots, or anything else you love to dip with.

Vegan Spinach Artichoke Dip

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup marinade from artichoke jar
  • 1 medium or large onion, chopped
  • 1 head garlic, minced
  • 10 oz frozen spinach
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened soy milk (or another thick unsweetened plant-based milk)
  • 12 oz. vegan sour cream
  • 8 oz vegan cream cheese*, room temperature
  • 1 cup roughly chopped marinated artichokes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • lots of freshly cracked pepper

Instructions

  1. Add olive oil, artichoke marinade, onions, and garlic to a small pot over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  2. Add frozen spinach and heat until completely thawed, approximately 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the soy milk, vegan sour cream, vegan cream cheese, artichokes, salt, and pepper. Stir until completely combined and heat for an additional 5 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings as desired.
  4. Serve hot as is or transfer to a baking dish and broil to get a pretty browned top. Enjoy!

Notes

*Use a vegan cream cheese that does not melt down to an oily consistency. For this recipe, I recommend Kite Hill or Follow your Heart (not sponsored).
